Ernie Irvan was challenging for the Winston Cup Championship in 1994, when he was seriously injured in a practice crash at Michigan. Since that time he has made an amazing recovery and returned to the racing at the wheel of one of his own Supertrucks at North Wilkesboro. So far in 1995, Ernie has spent time testing, running a successful Supertruck team with No Fear sports wear co-owner Mark Simo for driver Joe Ruttman and served as a commentator on TNN race broadcasts. Ernie's biggest career win was in 1991, when he drove the Morgan-McClure #4 to victory in the Daytona 500.
